Aura collects information you provide directly — your name, email address, phone number, home and building details for bookings, and your pet's profile (name, breed, birthday, health details, photos). We also collect booking history and basic usage data that helps us improve the app.
We never sell your data.
Sitters receive only the information needed to provide pet care services, including your pet's care brief, booking details, meeting instructions, and relevant health notes. They cannot see your payment information or account history.
Your data is stored securely with our infrastructure providers (including Supabase) and is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted to what's needed to operate the service.
You control which notifications you receive in Account → Notifications, and can also manage permissions in your phone's settings.

If you choose to provide your phone number and opt in to SMS communications, Aura may send you text messages related to your account and pet care services. These messages may include booking requests, booking confirmations, service updates, reminders, verification codes, and communications between pet owners and pet sitters through Aura's messaging service.
Pet owners must opt in separately in the app (see link above); providing a phone number alone does not enroll owners in SMS.
Approved pet sitters who complete onboarding and sign Aura's Sitter Service Agreement (including an explicit SMS consent checkbox) may receive job-related texts: booking offers, meet-and-greet requests, rescheduling notices, pet care details, and messages from pet owners relayed through Aura. Job-related sitter SMS is not sent at application time. Two-way replies are supported where enabled in the service.
Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at hello@aurapet.ai.
We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
You can request a copy of your data or correct inaccuracies by contacting us at hello@aurapet.ai. You can permanently delete your account and associated data anytime in the app under Account → Delete account. We'll also help if you email us.
Aura is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you in the app before they take effect.
